Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the west crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The interior of the resort is inspired by the ancient palaces of Turkey and features hand-painted finishing’s, Turkish artworks and stunning murals inspired by the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire.
The resort offers 405 rooms and suites, 38 Royal Residences and the award-winning Talise Ottoman Spa, one of the largest and most luxurious spas in the Middle East. The resort offers Sinbad’s Kids Club complete with splash park, performing art destination Zabeel Theatre and a collection of diverse restaurants which offer a vibrant selection of culinary experiences. About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Waiter/ress to join the F&B team in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel for our Signature Restaurant Zenzi on the beach.
The main responsibilities are:
Greet guests with a warm welcome and smile and assist guests in finding seating at the beach or pool area.
Provide guests with towels, menu cards, and other necessary items.
Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, where applicable
Be aware of allergy information on menu items and inform guests where needed or inquired,
Inform guests of daily specials or special items/promotions not listed on menu,
Check customer's identification to ensure they meet alcohol legal age requirements or requirements as per local law
Offer food and wine suggestions. Take food and beverage orders accurately including any special requests. Inform Kitchen as per the request.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the beach and pool area, including lounge chairs, tables, and surrounding areas.
Monitor and maintain stock levels of towels, beverages, and other supplies.
Input the order into PO System, if needed
Work with bartenders to fill beverage orders. Work with kitchen staff to process and expedite food orders,
Deliver and serve food at tables. Use established food handling and serving techniques as per Jumeirah standard.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Proficient in spoken fluent English.
Effective communication skills with all levels of colleagues and management at all levels.
Minimum 1 year experience in a 5* luxury hotel.
Capable to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in English and a second language would be an added advantage.
