Role Overview:

The candidate will help define and execute Mastercard’s strategy focusing on our API orchestration layer. You’ll be responsible for delivering an API first approach in line with Mastercard engineering best practice, whilst ensuring performance & availability remains robust whilst continuing to add value to our clients. Delivering incremental value to clients whilst improving internal infrastructure and services is essential for buy-in and adoption.

The Team:

The Digital product team are responsible for our clients’ digital interactions with Mastercard Commercial Solutions including UI, API & File. We are thought leaders and innovators, enabling clients to achieve their goals, delivering value every step of the way.

Key areas of responsibilities include:

• Working closely with partner product teams to understand technicalities and existing use cases of products

• Exploring new and innovative ways to use products to deliver value

• Work with product and engineering partners to define and deliver the roadmap that delivers incremental value to customers and Mastercard

• Ensure roadmap takes into account the user experience via all digital channels with equal importance

• Continuously iterate on products with a customer centric approach

• Be a product evangelist across the wider Mastercard organization

• Be the “voice of the customer” internally, representing customer pains and potential gains to key stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 7 years’ experience in an API orchestration product or related role

• Experience working with both micro-service & monolithic architecture

• Intellectually curious, stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, risks, and opportunities

• Strong oral and written communicator, able to communicate vision, thoughts, ideas, and solutions to different audiences

• Entrepreneurial attitude, excellent communication skills, and a customer experience focused mindset

• High attention to detail

• Collaborative individual with the ability to work with stakeholders across multiple divisions
