Jabil Lead Debug Technician in Dublin, Ireland

JPosition Summary:

  • We are hiring a Lead Debug technician to coordinate the Debug/rework team.

  • This individual should have a good working knowledge of all Jabil Xena manufacturing line processes.

  • The successful candidate will work in a leadership capacity supporting the Debug/Rework Manager and will have the responsibility for 1st level disciplinary actions and TMS accuracy.

  • The individual will be responsible for monitoring the bone pile and dashboard. Identifying opportunities to reduce the bone pile to or below target, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities and End Results:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Lead by example, ensuring safe work practices are always maintained in line with company policies.

  • Capable of standing in for the team manager for daily/weekly meetings.

  • All Lead Debug Technicians will be expected to support production daily, by completing daily min server targets.

  • Work to drive team goals into target: Bone pile figures 250 or below at an average of 3 days and median of 3 days. Debug efficiency >70% per technician. Irma results within 24 hours (product dependent)

  • Be capable of drafting and publishing detailed communications across shifts, FPY reports 5MM, IRMA, etc.

  • Organizes Debug/Rework daily activities in line with Planning/quality requests.

  • Proactively manage absenteeism and attendance (TMS and 1st stage disciplinary actions) and escalate to the Manager when required.

  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching, using established reports and formats.

  • Communicate with the team by delivering daily 5MMs focused on Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery (Output).

  • Support and promote continuous improvements and lean manufacturing activities, through Kaizen, A3’s, and Gemba walks (actions) where required/appropriate.

  • Identify performance and training issues as appropriate and work with the Manager to close gaps to individual targets (SPD min 11, efficiency 70% +).

  • Maintain time-keeping records on TMS promptly for payroll purposes.

  • Other Adhoc duties as assigned.

Person specification:

  • Computer literate with intermediate / Advanced MS Office skills.

  • Person-focused (willingly and able to identify and mentor others)

  • Literate in Linux/and bash (shell) script (will need to be capable of performing Debug role min 2 servers per day)

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong planning & organizational skills and diligence.

  • Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.

  • Track record of meeting deadlines.

  • A demonstrated “can do” work ethic with excellent critical thinking skills.

Job Specifications:

Essential criteria

  • BSC/BA degree in Manufacturing Technology / Electronical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Computer Science/Data management or relevant discipline

  • 1-2 years’ experience working as a Debug Technician, or in a similar data center-based role is required.

  • Previous experience in leading diverse teams (a blend of technicians and operators)

  • Strong Linux knowledge

Desired criteria

  • Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

  • Experience in supporting and driving a safety culture

  • Experience in process improvements / lean manufacturing activities (5s, VSM, GEMBA.) in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
