Microsoft Corporation Program Manager - App Lifecycle & Innovation in Dublin, Ireland

Our team is the innovation hub for the Customer and Engineering Lifecycle within the Identity & Network Access division. We are responsible for discovering, inventing, and building on cross discipline knowledge and theory from fields like psychology, mathematics, and applied sciences to rapidly prototype, test, and deliver new methodologies for measuring customer and employee experiences. We work in a state of ambiguity and discovery, constantly striving to convert our concepts into applications and tools. We also align with teams across Identity & Network Access and beyond to help them leverage our toolkit and improve their customer and engineering experiences.

In this role, you will be responsible for pioneering new innovations and improving the customer and engineering lifecycle for Decentralized Identities, as well as Microsoft Authentication Libraries (MSAL) within the Microsoft identity platform. Our platform supports millions of applications and growing, from large SaaS provider apps, including Microsoft’s own largest products and services like Office 365 and Azure, to enterprise customer line of business applications and beyond. On the Identity and Network Access engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in helping us build an easy to use, valuable platform for both Microsoft and non-Microsoft developers and all of their application development needs for identity.

We are looking for a driven, technical, developer savvy Senior Program Manager who is ready to embrace their inner scientist to help us define and enhance the developer and customer journey for Decentralized Identities and Microsoft Authentication Libraries. We want developers and customers to experience as little friction as possible when it comes to our product experiences while achieving as many of their jobs to be done as possible. In your daily work life, you will be responsible for building journey maps of our customers’ top jobs to be done, defining telemetry needs and funnel performance metrics, implementing and analyzing in-product customer feedback channels, applying and innovating upon new methodologies to improve our product experiences, and helping generate a prioritized product roadmap for feature teams.



Be a thought leader in our Decentralized Identities and Microsoft Authentication Library product vision by finding new ways to measure, evaluate, and achieve better developer experience and adoption.

Leverage a variety of signals to help build a prioritized roadmap for customer and engineering lifecycle improvement

Conduct journey mapping & market research evaluations to define end to end experiences for developers and areas of improvement.

Implement, analyze, and report on measures such as user behavior, conversion funnels, and in-product feedback channels for developers to improve success rates, ease of use, and retention with our platform.

Help define performance measures to provide our Identity leadership and feature teams with clear and actionable insights.

Partner with a variety of teams across the Identity and Network Access team, including Software Engineering, Program Management, and CxP.

Regularly review and help drive inputs to the Identity and Network Access Roadmap.


Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Advanced STEM degree is a plus.

Extensive experience in product management, software engineering leadership, or an equivalent computer software leadership role.

Extensive years of applicable experience in the application development discipline, ideally with experience in hands on coding/scripting and database queries

Experience of driving large scale and complex programs across multiple teams

Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols, such as OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, SAML and ability to ramp to level 300+ on Microsoft identity platform technologies. Knowledge of blockchain technologies is a plus.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, experience with presentations to senior leadership teams as well as customers

Ability to take on complex systems and processes and drive simplification and improvements.

Customer obsession, empathy for customer needs, and the ability to translate that intodelightful products.

Demonstrated ability to work independentlyand deliverwhile managingambiguity, complexity, and rapid change.
