Senior Software Engineer Test

Overview

The Mastercard Consumer Data Management (CDM) program is on a mission to evolve our services and drive adoption of our products. Our products are internally consumed capabilities that provide secure handling of Consumer PII/PCI data, Consumer Consent data, Consumer Messaging services ( SMS, Email and WebPush) and provision of Email Marketing support for Mastercard products. These API services meet the stringent needs of regulatory requirements and are the foundation for Mastercard's product and service offerings globally.

The Mastercard Consumer Data Management team in Dublin is looking for an Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our cross-functional Program which includes Architects, Developers, Quality Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, Analysts and Product Owners. The ideal candidate is a team player, who is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical and puts people and team culture first and foremost whilst having a passion to lead the team building and operating our platforms.

Role:

This role involves working with a team of talented developers to develop high quality, low latency, highly scalable Java based API services. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with implementing the overall test strategy for Consumer Data Management service offerings, adhering to test automation standards of excellence.

• Partner with Product Owners, Developers and other Quality Engineers to understand features and identify test needs.

• Monitoring of unit test coverage and quality gating. Execution of smoke/integration testing across all environments and reporting on automation runs.

• Execution of performance suite, test runs and analysis of results.

Skills:

• Excellent hands-on test automaton skills in Java with experience in unit, functional and integration testing.

• Expert in full stack software development test approaches & frameworks: TDD/BDD, Unit tests, Cucumber, Spock, Groovy, Cypress.

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools such as Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Chef.

• Experience working in a cloud environment an advantage e.g. PCF, AWS, Azure.

• Experience in writing clear and efficient test plans and test cases.

• Experience in working in an Agile environment.

• Excellent communication, documentation and collaboration skills.

• Show initiative and demonstrates a willingness to take on challenging opportunities.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
