The opportunity:

The Invoice to Cash (I2C) Accounting Manager plays a critical role in supporting accounting activities and improving processes within the I2C shared services organization. This role will work closely with functional managers (billing, A/R, cash app) and business partners across various areas. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of general ledger account reconciliations, preparation of journal entries, and providing accounting reporting as needed with a focus on process improvement. The I2C Accounting Manager is ultimately tasked with optimizing, managing, and documenting organizational processes, overseeing accounting processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting to drive and support the delivery of business and financial results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and perform accurate and timely completion of month, quarter, and year-end close deliverables.

  • Prepare and present monthly financial summaries and analysis reports to senior leadership, providing insights into key operational events.

  • Partner with functional managers to identify opportunities to streamline and standardize accounting processes with a focus to provide value to the business.

  • Build and maintain strong, foundational relationships with global cross-functional teams to understand and address accounting and operational needs while ensuring alignment with financial processes and reporting.

  • Oversee and perform internal and external audit requests.

  • Analyze financial data to provide insights into the overall health of accounts receivable.

  • Assist in drafting annual budgets, providing expense analysis, and summarizing expense misses for operations.

  • Identify and implement process improvements within the I2C organization to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial systems and processes.

  • Leverage technology (Alteryx, Qlik, Power BI, etc.) to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data accuracy to optimize cash flow and the achievement of KPIs and team goals.

  • Develop training materials and conduct end-user training on financial systems and processes.

  • Comply with SOX controls and GAAP to ensure a solid internal control environment.

  • Support the execution of special projects and ad-hoc analyses as requested by management or based on need within the organization within defined timelines.

  • Subject Matter Expert for critical department processes.

Relevant Education and/or Requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

  • Minimum 5+ years prior experience working in AR, Accounting, Finance, or similar function within Order to Cash. Global shared services environment preferred.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing a variety of sources in a complex systems landscape with a capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

  • Experience with JD Edwards, Blackline, QlikView, Alteryx, Hyperion and ServiceNow

  • Advanced excel skills including ability to use complex functions and formulas, as well as a strong proficiency in Microsoft office applications.

  • Experience with reporting/analytic software (Qlik Cloud, Hyperion, Blackline, Alteryx, PowerBI).

  • Ability to make well-informed, timely and effective decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgement ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, make recommendations and influence outcomes.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills

  • Strong understanding of Order to Cash transaction lifecycle.

  • General understanding of SOX audit requirements in a publicly traded company.
