Salvation Army Case Manager - FHPAP in Duluth, Minnesota

Position Summary The Salvation Army Northern Division Duluth's Case Manager - Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP) is responsible for assisting participants in securing housing and providing supportive services. The Case Manager also assists with maintaining program fiscal responsibility and reporting requirements. $22.00/hour, 40 hours/week 215 South 27th Avenue West, Duluth, MN 55806 Essential Functions (approximate time spent) Provide strength-based, person-centered case management (e.g., application completion, financial resources, referrals, independent living skills, crisis intervention) to FHPAP participants (40%). Coordinate services for participants with collaborative agencies (15%). Assist with program fiscal responsibility including budgeting, grant spending, and billings (15%). Prepare and submit timely reports and statistics (10%). Maintain up-to-date, accurate participant information in casefiles and through database entry (5%). Engage in internal and external activities/meetings to promote and further The Salvation Army and FHPAP goals and objectives (5%). Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in relevant field. In lieu of degree, education and experience may be considered. If degree is in social work, must be licensed by state board. Previous social services or ministry experience required. Experience conducting case management preferred. Must pass background checks. Valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements preferred. Competencies Flexible interpersonal and communication skills. High level of honor in dealing with confidential information. Works with integrity, valuing honesty and diligence. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, databases, and standard office equipment. Working Conditions Mostly sedentary work, sitting for long periods of time and working on a computer. Professional environment; eligible for a remote-friendly work environment. Must be able communicate clearly in English. Standard business hours with infrequent evenings and weekends. Must be able to occasionally lift 20 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Travel Requirements May occasionally drive agency vehicle locally to support the mission if MVR check cleared. May be required to use public transportation to support the mission if unable to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army.
