Job Description:

Seeking a medical professional to serve as Infection Prevention Specialist at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. This employee works Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, 36 hours per week. Occasional weekends on call are required.Works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to assure the safety of patients, personnel, visitors, and the community. Responsibilities include compiling, analyzing, and disseminating infection prevention data, reviewing and recommending changes in practice when indicated, and providing education consistent with best practice standards and requirements of regulatory agencies, e.g., TJC, OSHA, and the goals and mission of Essentia.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• CIC certification is required within 2 years of hire.

• 2 years clinical experience in a patient care setting (prefer inpatient/hospital setting), medical lab, public health, infection prevention, or closely related field.

Job Location: Building B - St Marys Medical Center

Shift Rotation: Day Rotation (United States of America)

Shift Start/End: 8:00 AM/4:30 PM

Hours Per Pay Period: 72

Compensation Range: $62356 - $93544 / year
