Job Overview: Grill Cook Full-time The Grill Cook is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing, portioning, grilling, and presenting a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events. The general responsibilities of this position are outlined below, but may include additional tasks as necessary based on business needs and client requirements. General Responsibilities: Prepare, season, and cook meats and vegetables using techniques such as frying, grilling, and sauting. Prepare, season, and cook starches, vegetables, and other hot side dishes. Perform food preparation tasks, including seasoning and pre-cooking preparation. Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes. Deep fry, grill, and saut meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Observe and test food by tasting, smelling, and piercing to ensure proper cooking. Portion food onto serving plates. May add gravies, sauces, and garnishes to servings. May select recipes based on the menu cycle, prepare bakery items, receive inventory, move and lift foodstuffs and supplies, and prepare meals for customers with special dietary needs. Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment, adhering to all client and regulatory standards and procedures. Follow food safety and physical safety policies at all times, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) when required by management. Report accidents and injuries in a timely manner. Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments. Attend training programs (both classroom and virtual) as designated. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Job Qualifications: Experience/Knowledge: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
