Shire Senior Finance Business Partner in Dunboyne, Ireland

This position is responsible for supporting financial management and reporting systems for the Dunboyne Operations Profit & Loss statement, operational reporting and providing financial analytics for decision support.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of budgets, long range plans and forecasts to support the timelines communicated by Corporate Finance

  • Develop the framework and provide clear financial monthly reporting to business partners including Manufacturing variations, P&L analysis and Headcount analysis that allows Teams to proactively deliver their goals

  • Business Partnering with multiple stakeholders to shape business direction using analytics and insight

  • Lead the design and implementation of the new ERP costing system

  • Map out multiple Finance business processes including efficiencies to ensure right first time. Agree SLA’s and KPI’s with the Shares Service Center.

  • Develop financial analytical tools that model the interdependencies between the financial systems and operational metrics including value stream mapping.

  • Assist in clarifying the Accounting treatment for multiple items across the business.

  • Support the financial information requirements for capital allowances and financial incentives.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Level 8 Bachelor’s degree

  • Accounting Qualification- CIMA, ACCA or ACA or equivalent MBA

  • Demonstration of key finance competencies with 3 to 9 years of relevant experience in the biotechnology and /or pharmaceutical industry desirable (preferably both)
