The Accounting Manager is a member of the Divisional Finance and Accounting team and will work closely with the Divisional Accounting Manager along with the Vice President of Finance. The Accounting Manager will maintain the general ledger, inventory, accounts payables, accounts receivables, capital expenditures, account reconciliations, and other financial responsibilities. They will oversee the budget and forecast processes. They must be able to work independently in a challenging environment while multi-tasking to assist with a variety of accounting activities.

Tasks:

  • Performs general accounting functions and other related duties for the organization.
  • Maintains the general ledger and reconciliations.
  • Completes month-end and year-end closings (five day close).
  • Work with corporate office (as needed) with monthly and ad hoc reporting.
  • Work with corporate tax department by providing data and information to assist with appropriate filings.
  • Prepares budget and forecasts for all departments.
  • Supervise the processing of accounts payable, preparing accruals and reconciling to the general ledger.
  • Supervise the processing of accounts receivables and reconciling to the general ledger, including assistance with collection efforts.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules.
  • Assists with preparation and coordination of the inventory audit process.
  • Gathers the necessary information and documents when required.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Completes and/or assists with special projects.
  • Serves as a backup to accounts payable, accounts receivable and production reporting.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
