EnviroBEE Field Technician (Field Tech) in Dunn, North Carolina

We have an ongoing need for full- and part-time spill response/field technicians. A Field Tech is integral to the success of the daily operations at Enviro-BEE. They are responsible for deploying to the job site quickly and with all needed supplies and equipment, and doing a thorough and complete job. They should have high energy and bring a positive attitude to the working environment to boost morale among their co-workers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in various types of oil spill clean-up activities as needed.
  • Follow the required environmental, health, and safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
  • Participation in an OSHA-mandated medical surveillance program (i.e., respiratory protection, hearing conservation, bloodborne pathogens); safety training will be provided.
  • Operate and maintain equipment (i.e., truck and trailer, vac-truck, vac-trailer, backhoe, forklift, skid steer, pumps, generators) in accordance with all policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure a safe and productive environment; basic working knowledge of all equipment utilized; training will be provided.
  • Perform emergency response activities; work with crews to perform emergency response clean-up, non-hazardous waste clean-up, and the handling of non-hazardous waste materials.
  • Follow policies and procedures for control and storage of non-hazardous waste, hazardous waste, substances, and materials.
  • Calibrate, use, and document meters and readings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide support and assistance to customers, co-workers, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a positive public image to represent the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Clean driving record, drug screen, and background check required.

Work Environment

  • Travel required - mostly regional (NC, SC, and VA); rare overnights, weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.
  • On-call is required every third weekend.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds and work in conditions that may feature rough terrain.
  • Requires the ability to wear the personal protective equipment prescribed via posted signs and written instructions.
  • Ability to work in various conditions indoors and outdoors such as elevated, subsurface, and confined spaces.
