National Coatings & Supplies Financial Analyst in Dunn, North Carolina
Warren Oilis seeking an organized, diligent, responsible Financial Analyst to join our growing Dunn, NC team. The analyst will be a vital part of the Business Analysis team and will perform inventory and freight analytical work related to the WOC ongoing business operations. You will have an opportunity to learn the methods, tasks and objectives consistent with supporting our day-to-day operations and business strategy. The analyst's primary function is to support leadership in the creation; implementation and maintenance of inventory levels as well as optimizing freight spend in support of the sale of WOC products and services. The role will provide exposure to financial modeling, inventory / freight management, product line management, promotion strategy, and new product development

Duties and Responsibilities
- Gain familiarity with WOC's products, processes, personnel, philosophies, and strategies
- Analyze current inventory levels and freight spend and make financial recommendations that affect the longer-term success of the company
- Prepare financial and pricing analyses for slow moving inventory, provide analysis for optimal WOC SKU's / product lines and participate in new product introductions we are investigating
- Analyze information pertaining to competitive products, competitive prices, and related terms and conditions of sale to optimize inventory turns
- Provide administrative sales and service support for customer, marketing and salesforce requests
- Help maintain adequate inventory levels and assist purchasing with vendor evaluation and performance
- Compilation and analysis of freight vendor charges and spend for each of the plant foot prints and assist with decision support and effective forecasting of freight billing methodologies
- Prepare status reports and update key performance indicators (KPIs) - Maintain project-related metrics for monthly reporting, sales reporting, inventory reports, and weekly operations reporting, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Math or a related analytic field of study
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to calculate, analyze, and interpret mathematical information such as percent differences, ratios, weighted average, variance analysis etc.
- Ability to work with business and analytical IT tools such as MS Office product suite, Accounting Software packages (JD Edwards preferred) etc.
- Proven analytical problem-solver who enjoys collaboration and teamwork
- Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes, procedures and decisions to internal customers
- Excellent organizational skills in order to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- A desire to utilize business sense and creativity in order to develop new ideas and meaningful solutions
