Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Business Systems Analyst III (Tribal Services) in Durant, Oklahoma
Job Purpose or Goals
You will support complex projects and provide leadership to less experienced staff while serving as liaison between the user/business community and the IT department. You will facilitate collaboration between partners and leadership to develop and implement automated business process improvements. You will report to the Director of Program Delivery.
Tasks:
You will establish project requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, business process descriptions, use case scenarios and workflow analyses. Ensure all partners are involved in requirements gathering activities.
Prepare detailed requirements specification documents, user interface guides, business process/workflow diagrams, functional and technical specification documents to support everything from small system enhancements to larger scale project deployments.
Understand long-term goals and suggest strategies to meet those goals; introduce innovation to business processes through technology.
Develop new business processes, diagnoses problems with an organization’s current methodology, redesigns processes to improve efficiency, and monitors processes to ensure they are effective.
You will conduct needs analysis, organizational readiness assessments, and improve analysis to identify opportunities to link processes.
Develop business cases for candidate projects. Identify costs and benefits for potential projects to aid decision makers in selecting value projects for their organization.
Be a subject matter expert and perform required job responsibilities on urgent, high profile, and projects to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Mentor Business System Analysts to improve domain and business process knowledge to enhance capabilities and increase competencies.
You will document user training materials, process guides, and conduct user training.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, relevant Business Degree or 4 years related experience.
Work with business staff and management, and IT personnel to compile information on project requirements and negotiate disputes.
Professional IT Certification
Above average meeting facilitation
Knowledge of at least one project methodology (PMI, Prince2, or Agile Project Management), the software development life cycle (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and at least one relational database management system (prefer MS SQL Server or Oracle).
Proficient in Visio, Project, SharePoint, and TFS) with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (can perform complex functions)
Minimum of five years directly related work experience in a Business Systems Analyst capacity, including all aspects of process development
