Your role at Clorox:
This position will lead and direct all financial activities for Burt’s Bees SBU. This position will partner with the General Manager & function leads within the BU to lead the development/delivery of the annual operating and long-range plan totaling $250-300M in Revenue and $50-60M in Profit. This position plays a highly influential role on the Leadership team in steering the business choices required to execute against our Ignite Strategy. Burt’s Bees is in the midst of a broader strategy refresh to transform the business across WTP choices and configuration to enable. This role will play a critical role in assessing and delivering the value creation potential across the full P&L. BU strategy coupled with enterprise transformation and Ignite strategy will require a step change in enterprise engagement, planning and execution.
This position will be responsible for the quarterly closing of the books and accurate presentation of all financial statements to Senior Management including the implementation and enforcement of the internal controls required to deliver them. This role has responsibilities for the US Burt’s business with connection to international and will require goal setting and coordination with Canada and AMEA BUs as there are split P&Ls. This role will play a core interface between the business unit and the corporate center to ensure financial plans and risks are communicated and understood. This position will manage a team of six finance professionals at varying levels.
While Burt’s is a smaller business in sales, the category dynamics make it one of the more complex businesses in the Clorox portfolio. Burt’s manages over 1,700 skus in multiple segments with diverging dynamics, utilizing a supply chain with both internal and external manufactures (13) leading to additional complexity in managing P&L. The Burt’s finance leader also has greater breadth of Cost responsibility along with demand spend, forecast close and ad hoc project support to ensure delivery of forecast and prudent decision making for the business. Strong leadership for portfolio and cost management is extensive. Over the next 3-5 years, the business unit is driving a turnaround to return to a high growth business. This business transformation imperative should work to simplify the business to drive value creation (NCS/profit) as well as improved productivity. Close partnership with supply chain, innovation and working back with the Group/center will be critical to driving outcomes and ensuring the enterprise is clear on the assumptions and bets in the plan.
This position will report to the General Manager Burt’s Bees BU.
In this role, you will:
Influence / steer the Leadership team to business choices required to execute against our BU Strategy as well as deliver FAR business objectives that return to 5-7% NCS growth, 10%+ Profit.
Partner with the General Manger & function leads within the Burt’s BU and to lead the development/delivery of the annual operating plan as well as build long range path to return to $300M+ in NCS and $50M+ in profit
Lead quarterly close, presentation of financial statements, and ensure enforcement of controls with no major deficiencies.
Partner with key groups to deliver margin accretive innovation through DTV, external manufacturing and plan for scale.
Support Enterprise Group / SBU high value initiatives and special projects as needed. IBP (as an Enterprise pilot), Elevate, Anaplan, etc
Identify and remove waste in legacy SBU / division processes, routines, and reporting. Actively seek redundant or low value work to eliminate, and scope work initiative to improve outcomes for lower effort. As needed partner with Enterprise and/or C&C resources, depending on nature of waste.
What we look for:
Years and Type of Experience: Minimum 10 years in roles of increasing responsibility. Must have included significant cross-functional collaboration. Must be proactive and able to work independently.

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $144,200 - $289,900
–Zone B: $132,200 - $265,700
–Zone C: $120,200 - $241,600
