Here’s the Gist:

The Corporate EHS Engineer for the ISO 14001 and 45001 Program is directly responsible for developing and maintaining the Integrated Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) for Wolfspeed. 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Establish corporate standard for integrated program.
  • Integrate and align ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 program across our manufacturing locations. 
  • Facilitate internal and external EHSMS audits and management reviews.
  • Coach internal personnel for continual improvement in all aspects of EHSMS.
  • Develop meaningful corporate and site level EHS metrics.  Assist sites with analyzing data to discover trends in program performance.  Partner with EHS teams to enhance EHS performance.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • BS degree in Environmental Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years experience with implementing and maintaining ISO management systems
  • 5 -10 years of experience coordinating and performing ISO 14001 / 45001 system auditing.
  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 internal auditor credentials
  • Passion for Environment, Health and Safety and a strong commitment to EHS stewardship
  • Support Wolfspeed’s ESG goals and targets.
  • Excellent project management skills with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to effectively interpret ISO 14001 and 45001 standards and apply to complex manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence others and coordinate across multiple cross functional organizations.
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and TEAMs.
  • Ability to travel to various Wolfspeed locations.  Estimate up to 25%.
     

Preferred:

  • MS degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 lead auditor credentials or ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire
  • Experience with complex manufacturing operations, preferably in semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with the multi-site ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification
