How Is This Role Important to Our Work? This position collaborates and consults with business partners across the organization to plan, direct and lead business objectives and readiness for Medicaid Service and Appeals and Grievance operations as well as functions as the Subject Matter Expert for Regulatory Audits. This position will work with the cross-functional teams to engage, supervise, and direct external partners in the management of Medicaid Service, Appeals and Grievance, and Regulatory Audit prep; as well as assist in implementing overall Medicaid Operations work. This position collaborates with partners participating in Medicaid Operations (including internal and external partners). A Day in the Life: Manage the implementation of various projects related to Medicaid Service and Appeals and Grievance. This is accomplished through application of project management, meeting management and group facilitation skills. Collaborate with key external operational departments to successfully articulate needs, identify project objectives, drive implementation, and communication plans. Create business Implementation Plans as they relate to Medicaid Service and Appeals and Grievance business objectives and regulatory requirements and effectively manage and communicate plan activities and landmarks. Manage all aspects of business solution implementation, focusing on the business implications of technology in relation to Medicaid Service and Appeals and Grievance business objectives and regulatory requirements Perform analysis of significant Medicaid Service and Appeals and Grievance operational issues, determine root cause, and drive to remediation with internal and external partners Lead all aspects of and perform metric reporting trends and analysis. Develop solutions for any metric not meeting requirements Function as Subject Matter Expert for all audits related to Medicaid Operations including sample review, audit prep, and the main Operational contact in regulatory audits. Required Skills and Experiences: Bachelors degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience plus 5 years experience in project management or consulting experience; or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree or equivalent military experience. Demonstrated organizational relationship management skills. Strong problem solving skills, conflict resolution, facilitation and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes. Strong personal computing skills with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project.
