We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Healthcare/NHS industry, based in East Brunswick, New Jersey. This role involves managing various financial tasks and ensuring accurate records are maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with financial reporting tasks and ensure accuracy

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to maintain financial clarity

• Record and manage journal entries as part of accounting duties

• Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting

• Utilize Sage Accounting Software for various accounting tasks

• Prepare trial balance sheets and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date

• Handle fixed asset accounting tasks and maintain a ledger of all fixed assets

• Manage accrual accounting tasks to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions

• Calculate and record accruals as part of regular accounting duties

• Conduct depreciation calculations for fixed assets regularly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Accountant, preferably in the Healthcare/NHS sector

• Proficient in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with General Ledger maintenance and management

• Ability to record accurate and timely Journal Entries

• Demonstrable experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using Sage Accounting Software

• Ability to handle Accruals efficiently• Experience in performing Depreciation Calculations
