Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems of plant machinery. The ideal candidate will perform minor repairs of rotating and reciprocating equipment, including assembly, disassembly, removal, installation, cleaning, and lubrication of machine parts. Additionally, you will repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators, and other components of hydraulic, pneumatic, and other fluid-powered equipment or mechanical systems. This role requires recording work performed and materials used, and operating lift trucks and powered lifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems of plant machinery.

• Perform minor repairs of rotating and reciprocating equipment; assemble, disassemble, remove, install, clean, and lubricate machine parts such as shafts, bearings, gears, and pulleys.

• Repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators, and other components of hydraulic, pneumatic, and other fluid-powered equipment or mechanical systems.

• Perform work through the work order system.

• Record work performed and materials used.

• Operate lift trucks and powered lifts as required.

Essential Skills

• Hydraulic/Pneumatic repair experience

• 1+ years of Industrial Maintenance

• Own tools

• HS Diploma/GED Equivalent

• Driver's License

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Electrical wiring

• Welding

• Automotive experience

• Technical Degree

Work Environment

This position is on the 4th shift from 6am-4:30pm (Saturday/Sunday and two other days during the week). You will always have three days off per week, and the two days worked during the week will change, with management being very flexible to accommodate. Training will take place on days for four months from 7am-3:30pm. Candidates can expect to work an average of 50 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 60 hours per week if desired. The work environment includes both outdoor and indoor settings in a chemical facility/water treatment center. You will not work outdoors in snow or rain but will be exposed to cold and hot weather conditions.
