Position Summary

Position salary range $66,852.58 to $76,402.95 - annually depending on experience. MSU Benefits - Free comprehensive health care for you and your family as well as a 10% contribution toward your retirement; Generous sick, vacation, personal and holiday time; This position is eligible to work a partial remote schedule after completion of employee's probation or trial period. Regular attendance is required to meet business and customer needs.

This position will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Space Management program for over 26,000,000 square feet of space using technical solutions including AutoCAD/ Revit, Integrated Work Order Management System (IWMS), Electronic Document Management Systems and variety of other facility management and spatial data information systems, applications and best practices. Aid in creating and maintaining processes to create, collect and assist in managing the integrity of facility and spatial data. Focus on managing, creating and updating operational floor plan drawings and building models using Autocad and Revit, managing building evacuation map updates with campus customers and student labor, managing updates to exterior door data, collaboration with other departments, both within IPF and throughout the University. Provide end user system support and fill requests for CAD drawings & BIM models, assign students to assist Designers, Architects and Engineers in construction drawing layout and development, fill requests for Space reports & Space Data. Aids in the maintenance of standards and procedures related to maintaining operational floor plans and training materials for CAD/ Revit / FMG+. Maintains data collection hardware (laser rangers, panoramic camera system) and the software platforms that are associated. Assist with testing and recommending system integrations, new products, and new releases of existing products. Manage the internal task management system (Team Work).

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge normally acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in an appropriate field of geography, planning, architecture, environmental sciences, computer science, engineering, or computer aided drafting and design; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in analyzing, developing, integrating, and managing a variety of large-scale data sets to aid in space planning and management decisions; experience with accurately interpreting maps, plats, and construction plans, as well as knowledge of AutoCAD, Building Information Modeling tools, CAD & GIS standards and principles; computer experience relating to the specific department, experience in identifying the following building systems: electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, steam and gas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of a valid vehicle operator's license.

Desired Qualifications

Expert knowledge and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, FMGPlus and spatial data collection methods and technologies. Experience with Integrated Work Order Management System (Planon), Electronic Document Management (Meridian) and Project Management (Unifier, PlanGrid and Autodesk Construction Cloud (Build)) solutions. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite 365 and use of presentation and database software. Experience with Team Work task management system. Experience with data collection hardware and software, Laser ranger finder Tape measure, and 360 camera and software. Knowledge of ArcGIS and Munsys software. Knowledge of construction related documents and terminology, how to read multi discipline prints. Knowledge of Facilities Management operations and University policies and procedures; Strong communication skills (oral and written); established problem solving skills; good customer relations/service skills; ability to work as an effective member of a team is essential; ability to multi‐task yet give attention to detail; ability to handle confidential material with complete discretion; self‐starter who possesses good decision making skills and demonstrate the ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.
