Description

The Instructional Designer is responsible for working across multiple instructional delivery modalities to create high-quality learning experiences that bolster a culture of learning. The role requires excellent project management, strategic thinking, collaboration, and communication skills. This person must be knowledgeable in adult learning and instructional design strategies aimed at maximizing performance-based outcomes. They must be able to think outside the box, move quickly without sacrificing quality, and not be constrained by how things have been done before. The MSUFCU L&D curriculum may include structured, formal classroom learning with hands-on labs, as well as online synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences, all of which are purposefully designed to maximize learner competencies. They will also collaborate with other members of the L&D team, subject matter experts, and department managers to plan and design program offerings in the areas of annual compliance and professional/talent development. Work Arrangement -This position is able to work hybrid or onsite. Compensation & Benefits - Salary Range: Instructional Designer Level I- $54,000+ dependent on experience Instructional Designer Level II- $67,000+ dependent on experience Senior Instructional Designer - $75,000+ dependent on experience 100% Company-Paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long-Term Disability Premiums Up to 26 days of PTO within your first year, as well as Volunteer Time Off & 11 Paid Holidays 401(k) with an immediate 2:1 Match Tuition Reimbursement 12 Weeks of Paid Parental Leave Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Instructional Designer I: Lead projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, launch, and review; providing clear timelines through all phases, communicating with key partners, and selecting appropriate measurement for successful implementation Manage the development of instructional materials (tutorials, digital interactives, user guides, audio and video content (including scripts), story boards, navigational text, assessment tests, etc.) which transform technical information into professionally written, engaging instruction Identify learning objectives, assess learners and performance outcomes, and evaluative strategies to deliver instruction, including consulting with program owners and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and learning objectives Apply principles of Universal Design to support a diverse learner population Ensure program design and materials exceed ADA standards Be the voice of the learner, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our content efforts and help our team iterate and improve on our content offerings Collaborate with subject matter experts across MSUFCU to build technically accurate training that meets the learning objectives Build relationships with key department representatives throughout MSUFCU to understand roadmaps and plans for content updates or new training offerings Foster teamwork and a supportive work environment Integrate MSUFCU's mission statement into all learning materials Seek knowledge of internal operations procedures throughout Branches, Call Center, and eServices to better design and evaluate training Document processes to ensure compliance with credit union policies, as well as state and federal regulations Participate in training activities to ensure staff compliance with credit union policies andstate and federal regulations and laws Crosstrain members of the L&D team to ensure a cohesive department approach to instructional design Collaborate with the L&D Manager to establish clear instructional design standards that can be communicated to stakeholders to ensure staff compliance with Credit Union policies and state and federal regulatio
