Valley Tractor & Rentals Truck Driver Class A CDL in East Wenatchee, Washington
SUMMARY: Load, unload, and deliver equipment to customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loads vehicle for delivery.
- Back-up truck driver for Service Department.
- Performs simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, scheduling routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly.
- Perform routine maintenance on Rental Equipment.
- Observes all traffic laws and posted speed limits.
- Delivers goods to clients.
- Interacts with the customer in a professional manner.
- Collects required signatures for payment, proof of delivery, and gives a receipt to customer.
- Returns all required documentation to appropriate company official.
- Observes no smoking in delivery vehicle.
- Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.
- Must get all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform appropriate company official.
- Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Class A CDL with airbrakes certification required.
- Clean Driving Record and CDL medical standards
One to two years related experience or equivalent.
- Mechanical experience preferred.
Working knowledge of tractor/industrial equipment operation (excavators,
tractors, tractor-loader-backhoes, skid steer etc.)
Familiarity with delivery practices and handling methods for customers in remote
areas with narrow unpaved roads.
Must be able to navigate 30' rollback and trailers safely and effectively in tight
conditions.
Forklift certified. *Can certify at Valley Tractor.
