Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Easton, Pennsylvania

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Easton, Pennsylvania. This role is crucial in maintaining financial records, processing payments, and ensuring accuracy in our financial operations. The position is within the telecom industry and will require a blend of technical and interpersonal skills to effectively manage vendor relations and internal financial controls.

Responsibilities:

• Verify the completeness and accuracy of invoices received.

• Confirm vendor information, including W9's, 1099's, banking instructions, etc.

• Key enter invoice payments following established process and audit controls.

• Record general ledger entries for processed payments.

• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, liaising with internal contacts and outside vendors as necessary.

• Assist with month-end close, including producing accurate month-end accruals and completing other month-end functions on time.

• Support Accounts Payable annual controls audit.

• Perform miscellaneous clerical or other related duties as needed.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and best practices

• Familiarity with financial software and databases

• Ability to process and manage invoices and expenditure in a timely manner

• Strong mathematical skills for accurate number crunching and financial calculations

• Excellent organizational skills to manage financial records and documents

• Proficient in data entry and management

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and staff regarding payments

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and issues related to accounts payable

• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to accounts payable

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for spreadsheet management

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of financial documents and reports

• Experience in preparing financial reports and statements.
