Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper Support Specialist to join our outsourced team. This role will support our senior bookkeeping staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of client service
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist senior bookkeepers with daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, and transaction categorization.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support the preparation of tax returns and other compliance documentation.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and clarify discrepancies.
Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records in an efficient and secure manner.
Collaborate with other team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with accounting software updates and best practices.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role for at least 5 years.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
Experience with Karbon (CRM)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus.
