BRECOflex CO., L.L.C. Manufacturing Technician- 2nd Shift in Eatontown, New Jersey
The Manufacturing Technician performs a range of manufacturing tasks in the production process. Produce parts, perform set-up and operation of production equipment. Inspect, clean, calibrate, adjust and maintain production equipment. Use tools such as calipers and gauges to inspect output and ensure the product adheres to specifications and meet quality standards. Follow process and training documentation as well as adhere to safety, environmental and health regulations. Maintain accurate documentation and records. May be responsible for packaging/labeling/marking of finished goods.
Shift 2nd: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 pm – 2:00 am
Ideal Candidate: experienced in manufacturing, job shop, or machine operator.
Willing to train the right candidate, apply if actively interested in working for a family-oriented company, prepared to show up to work, work hard and learn the manufacturing craft surrounding polyurethane timing belts and accessories!
Manufacturing of polyurethane timing belts:
Profile Welding – thermal and chemical application to adhere polyurethane profiles to polyurethane belts
Entry of profile location in machine controller
Using hand tool to weld profiles in place
Use of grinder tool to clean belts
Use of marking machine to mark belts
Use of caliper or belt gauge to inspect
Backing Application – thermal and chemical application to adhere backing material to polyurethane belts
Application of curing solvent to back of belts
Application of backing
Set up and running of backing equipment
Trim excess material from belt edges
Use of caliper and belt gauge to inspect
Stamping – set up and run a hydraulic press to punch belts to length
Pick material from inventory
Locate and move die to press
Measure to length open-ended material
Set up and operate a hydraulic punch press
Use of caliper and belt gauge to inspect
Open-Ended Belt Stamping/Slitting – set up and run machines to feed material to cut to length and slit to width open-ended belting
Pick material from inventory
Locate appropriate feed wheel
Set up and feed material through counter and cut to specified length
Set up and feed material through slitter to the specified width
Use of caliper and belt gauge to inspect
Belt Welding – thermal and chemical weld process to weld belt ends together to specified length
As jobs are assigned and scheduled, locate punched belts, set up and clamp belt to welder
Using templates and process work instruction run welder
Slit and clean belts to meet specified width
Use of caliper and belt gauge to inspect
