Job Information:

Fast paced production environment, heavily works with data in an error-free environment, all day, everyday, highly highly highly secure facility. Product: biometric data used in banking (fin tech).

  • Permanent position, direct hire. Key management opportunity.

  • Paying $23 - $27 per hour.(57,000 - 60,000 annually) Nice benefits package.

  • One (1) opening: dayshift, Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM You will work more then 40 hours per week (salaried, management).

    Production Lead Operator Responsibilities:

  • Oversees a small team of 12 -15 production associates (Machine Operators, Quality Inspectors and Warehouse Associates).

  • Handles staff scheduling (2 shifts: day/evening). Interviews and hires when needed.

  • Trains and develops all new hires on standard operating procedures, machinery, security measures working with encrypted data, resolving issues & problems, etc. Coaches, develops, counsels, listens & does. We don't wait, we do.

  • Becomes vastly familiar with and intricately knowledgeable with our two, large pieces of production machinery, including learning how to troubleshoot, clear jams, stop/restart, basic PM, etc. We operate two different types of high-speed production machines which are similar to CNC machinery used to manufacture steel or plastic ingots which receive a computer chip and are updated with unique data. We also run a basic Injection molding machine for hot stamping. Significant time and training is provided on all our equipment.

  • Reads basic prints to understand customer orders and sets-ups or adjusts machinery to produce accurate material/product

  • Supervises test runs with product and inspects quality using computer technology to match and ensure the accuracy of the biometric data we process. Also tests product for functionality which includes electronic sensor testing (significant training is provided)

  • Heavily uses computerized system to update data on file for each manufacture piece. Use of computer is equally important as running the machinery and 50% of the work time will be entering data and working on the computer uploading data into the manufactured component. (significant training offered)

  • Orders team to preform machine change overs which include mechanically changing dyes, plates and other castings and fittings on machinery as needed for new / other production runs.

  • Ensures teams are protecting the integrity of customer orders and highly sensitive customer data, at all times. Chain of custody sheets (paper & electronic) are signed off for each time a batch of completed biometric product passes from set of human hands to another (one station to another).

  • Maintains a clean, neat and well organized team. Does not tolerate call-outs, petty drama, or other undesirable behaviors inconsistent with our team culture and family-like atmosphere.

  • Follows written procedures, monitors equipment and communicates with management when issues arise or supplies become low.

  • Preforms a variety of other duties as assigned. We are a small operation and share responsibilities, help one another on the team and pitch-in wherever needed.

  • Orders materials, supplies and ensure a constant back-up supply is in stock.

  • Maps out customer orders and determines estimated length of time needed to fulfill customer orders.

    Production Lead Operator Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education or vocational / technical training is highly desired.

  • Must be able and permitted to work in a Federally regulated work environment (banking industry)

  • At leas one (1) year of "Line Lead" or other Supervisory experience from a production environment. Preferably an environment requiring the operation production machinery, such as injection molding, blow molding, extrusion or any other similar modernized, PLC/computer-driven machinery.

  • Must possess attention to detail, able to accurately preform quality inspection of product.

  • If you are not strong on the computer, this position is not a fit. Strong computer skills will be needed and are not taught. You should comfortable being on or near a computer at all times. Our machinery run on computers, including using the computer to call up existing templates and programs on our Production Machinery which will also require small adjustments as needed to ensure product accuracy.

  • Must have legible handwriting and be able to write neatly and concisely. Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not a requirement.

  • Must be able to preform data entry and use advanced MS Excel features such as basic formulas, pivot tables, vLookups, etc.

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, carry material, etc.
