As a Field Engineer you will: Work closely with subcontractors, technicians, and mechanics to understand and coordinate agreements and work scope. Safely manage operations in accordance with company policy and procedures; aggressively work to minimize hazards and to avoid/manage claims. Develop HVAC control drawings, schedules, submittals, sequences of operations, material lists, network layouts, electrical schematics and as built drawings; select hardware designs from several different control vendors. Design HVAC control programs and HVAC Building Automation Systems. Assist in compiling cost estimates and prepare proposals; provide technical recommendations on projects. Aggressively perform continuous self-study, to maintain a competitive edge in the industry and company\'s standards, practices and product lines; complete certifications as required. Perform material ordering and verification. Assist in providing direction and support to field teams in the installation and execution of contracts. Perform and assist in the commissioning of the controls and associated equipment. Provide assistance to design engineers and project managers during all project phases. Local and regional travel; variable based on project assignment. Actively participate in programs, policies and initiatives designed to enhance the overall good of the company and corporation. Experience/Education Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical, electrical or a related field of study, OR 2-year associate degree (HVAC, mechanical or electrical) and a minimum 2 years\' experience. Five years\' experience with HVAC Temperature Controls Service and Installation. Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, commissioning, HVAC concepts and business operations. Advanced technical aptitude and advanced computer skills, including MS Office (excel, word, power point), Adobe Writer, Visio and basic Windows. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively represent the company in an ethical and professional manner and consistent with our values and mission.
