Position Summary

Position Summary

As a Quality Manager for Energizers Auto Care business, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the outstanding quality of our products. This is a leadership role where you will help define the principles of quality management within our organization and establish the quality procedures that will be used in our manufacturing and distribution facility.

Responsibilities

  • Define and improve the quality systems that are used within Global Auto Care.

  • Manage and lead a staff of quality technicians that are responsible for quality control of products that are produced or received at our facilities.

  • Contribute to new product development teams to ensure quality is built into the design of our products.

  • Develop and validate accurate QC test methods with reasonable but thorough sampling and testing plans.

  • Establish and execute plans for qualification of new chemicals, formulas, or packaging to enable cost savings or improvements to the supply chain.

  • Partner with R&D to ensure documentation of test methods, material and product specifications, and other plant procedures is accurate and complete.

  • Promote and establish partnerships with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure acceptable quality of raw materials, components, and externally sourced products.

  • Lead efforts to resolve quality problems quickly and effectively.

  • Develop metrics and strategies for improvement of product quality and minimizing quality-related downtime or rework.

What we are looking for

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemistry, engineering, or quality-related studies.

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent in quality management of manufactured products would be an advantage.

  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Work independently and manage multiple projects in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, managerial, communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment.

  • Work with multifunctional teams and effectively interface with external partners.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Managerial experience is desirable.

  • Consumer product experience is desirable.

  • Project Management experience is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of bottles, triggers, flexibles, cartons and corrugate would be an advantage.
