Reference #: 5001049509406 Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for an ERC Mechanic Helper. Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., your local Caterpillar dealership, is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our growing team of established and successful parts professionals. Job Summary: This position will assist with developing our ERC facility into a world class fully functional engine rebuild center. They will be involved in many aspects of the operation. This will be a very "hands on" type of position. Duties will include but not be limited to the following: Develop proper procedures and techniques for disassembling natural gas and other types of engines. Efficiency will be a key factor. Develop proper procedures and techniques for disassembling engine components. Use the information available from our manufacturers to determine the appropriate salvage and reusability guidelines. Develop proper procedures and techniques for assembling natural gas and other types of engines. Focus on continuous improvement in quality, reliability, velocity and efficiency. Develop proper procedures and techniques for assembling engines and all components. Document all processes and procedures for future use, training and to input into our process software. Provide input on our process for quality and reliability through Lean, Six Sigma, 5S or other systems available. Assist the facility with all types of engineering support including design of cleaning racks, tool benches, equipment carts, dyno carts, parts delivery methods, etc. Focus on continuous improvement for all processes including prewash, paint, dyno, shipping, etc. Perform cost/benefit analysis on available reman opportunities. Assist with developing appropriate contamination control measures. Assist in determining process parameters including our cleaning processes, component life, etc. Evaluate available technologies that may be useful in our operation. Determine "best in class" for this industry and for engine rebuilding. Education / Experience: Preferred candidate will have an engineering degree, or technology engineering degree, or a combination of education and experience acceptable to the company.
