Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, perform and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures for all capital and other labor costs within OptumRx Information Systems

  • Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget for $300M in annual spend

  • Develop, perform and manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

  • Work closely with finance partners in Optum Technology and OptumRx to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve cost efficiencies

  • Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, or related field

  • 2+ years of finance or related experience

  • Experience driving business performance with internal partners

  • Work experience anticipating forecasting, financial reporting, accounting and operational issues, assessing their implications and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan

  • Experience working collaboratively and with influence across a matrix environment to drive expense management initiatives

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials

  • Experience in tech finance

  • Self-starter with curiosity and willingness to learn

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
