EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc. JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer LOCATION: 11000 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.) DUTIES: Research, design, and develop computer software or specialized utility programs. Duties include: Design and develop software applications in an agile development environment; Create or enhance applications within the Medicare and Retirement core admin system which encompasses multiple functions: Member enrollment, eligibility, case installation, provider, and claims processing; Design/modify programs for web services, online, data analysis and batch functions; Collaborate with scrum team members including Product Owners to deliver the solutions to meet the business objectives; Analyze customer requirements; Design innovative solutions to meet business needs; and Develop online, batch and web service API applications on platforms. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Sicence, Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the following: Healthcare industry; OpenVMS Platform using COBOL, Oracle RDB, ACMS, DEC FORMS, TDMS and DCL scripts; OpenVMS CA Job scheduler and Unix TWS scheduler development; VB.NET, C programming and Java Web Service API development on OpenVMS and Linux; ETL development using IBM DataStage and data analysis using advanced SQL and Python; SOX and ICFR IT audits; and Agile development methodology.
