Description
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a long-term contract employment opportunity in Edinburg, Virginia. The role involves working within the industry, focusing on tasks such as invoice entry using Oracle, invoice reconciliation, and coding. The position also requires proficiency in MS Excel for certain tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the entry of invoices in Oracle ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Reconcile all invoices to guarantee they match the company records
• Post invoices after thorough verification and approval
• Code invoices correctly to ensure proper categorization in the accounting system
• Conduct monthly account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records
• Use MS Excel for various tasks including tracking and reporting
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices or accounts
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations and practices
• Experience with Oracle or similar accounting software
• Proficient in MS Excel including pivot tables, vlookup, and other advanced functions
• Ability to code invoices accurately for appropriate categorization
• Experience in conducting monthly account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Knowledge and skills in account reconciliation, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues efficiently
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
