MTF Assistant Donor Planner - Fresh Tissue Support in Edison, New Jersey

Overview/Risks

The Assistant Donor Planner is responsible for generating production plan for each donor that meet MTF's goals in terms of inventory management, customer satisfaction, financial interests and adherence to the par system. The Assistant Planner collaborates with MTF's processing facilities as well as the donor planners, partnerships, marketing department and all operations departments to ensure the efficiency of the overall production system in order to meet company goals. The Assistant Planner also facilitates quality assurance of human tissue as designated by SOP's and GMP's in accordance with AATB, FDA and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

  • Generate a processing plan for each donor by creating a donor planning worksheets containing all pertinent information, verify files for accuracy and consult databases for pertinent donor details in developing the worksheets.

  • Assist with quality plans, phase-in and phase-out processes with new product launches and all aspects of the planning process.

  • Responsible for creating & updating donor disposition forms (Form -358 & Template-150) and updating/ maintaining data relating to post Medical Director released donors. Extract relevant data from QAD, Planning Database,

  • DORA etc. to build various reports for internal and external use.

  • Support the Donor Planner in administering the value chain. Work with various departments to assist in resolving backorder in the various business units.

  • Investigate NCRs and CAPAs for the planning department and work closely with various departments to resolve issues.

  • Assist the Donor Planner with the development and generation of the weekly/monthly plan required for donor processing needs to meet forecasted sales, customer demands and other business needs.

  • Assist the donor planner with researching and providing answers related to tissue availability for business units, outside field representatives as well as MTF partnerships.

  • Support the Donor Planner with gathering critical data by providing critical information such as yields, cycle times and donor queue to manage their product lines.

  • Manage and update donor que daily to ensure there are sufficient levels of donors based on tissue type. Keep track of donor selection and requirements.

  • Monitor outstanding work orders and track status to help with the reduction of cycle time.

  • Coverage as a "floater" for a variety of positions in the Planning Department during staff shortages.

  • Assists with special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required, major in engineering, business, marketing, supply chain, operations or materials management preferred.

  • Minimum one year experience in tissue banking.

  • Knowledge of human anatomy.

  • Experience in ERP system.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications; especially Excel.

  • Solid knowledge and strong skills in utilizing databases.

  • Must be professional, self motivated, innovative, communicative, assertive and able to work independently as well as with others.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage time against multiple projects and priorities.

  • Strong data analysis, problem solving and decision-making ability.
