We are currently seeking a professional Building Technologies sales executive to join our team in helping our clients deploy Trane’s controls and technology platforms to enable clients to enhance building operations and achieve sustainability objectives.

As a Building Technologies Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships by providing building technologies solutions, ranging from building automation and controls system to intelligent digital services and full-scale technology integration. You'll provide knowledge and consultation while developing HVAC controls related solutions for the customer’s problems, including financial and performance-based considerations.  Working with your peers in a team selling environment, your focus will be on providing customers with a total solution for the most productive, reliable and energy efficient buildings.

The successful individual must be passionate about helping clients uncover opportunities and addressing challenges, thus creating new opportunities within an existing account based and capturing new market share is targeted growth vertical markets.

What you will do:

• Develops and executes an account specific business plan to identify the long term, mutual support requirements necessary to facilitate a strong, profitable, and successful partnership.

• Provide HVAC controls solutions to customer problems, including financial and performance-based considerations

• Leverage our Digital Service offering to support clients through the entire lifecycle of their facilities with predictive and data base analytics solutions.

• Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the required project team members, making assignments, and communicating the next steps in the process.

• Consistently ascertain customer needs and current market opportunities.

• Assist customers in answering technical questions on HVAC controls, Trane Products, and relevant industry issues.

What we look for:

• A professional sales executive with a passion for winning and creating new opportunities in the market.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Building Automation System experience, preferred.

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in facilities, HVAC Controls, Building Automation systems / solutions, or HVAC systems.

• Working knowledge of HVAC controls and service agreements.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:

o DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Compensation:

Total Target Compensation: $100,000 to $150,000.

Total Target Cash represents a mix of fixed base salary plus payment from sales commissions. Sales commissions plans are uncapped plans.

Our prosperous commission plans grow over time with a successful employee’s growing pipeline. Some sales professionals may eventually move to 100% commission.
