Here’s the scoop - Summary

The Application & Data Administrator has primary responsibility for the ongoing reliable, efficient, and effective operation & enhancement of Champion’s Enterprise applications. In this role you will be the key point of contact for administration, upgrade, setup, and maintenance of our applications landscape. Additionally, you will have the responsibility to administer our key application and master data, consisting of standard data entry, API use, imports, and automation opportunity identification, creation, execution, and support of these improvements.

The Application & Data Administrator is a technical figure responsible for the standardization, documentation, administration, execution, and improvements of our application landscape consisting of our M3 ERP, SharePoint presence, supporting applications, and key data administration processes. Ensuring integrations and data integrity are paramount when designing and implementing or updating applications, configurations, and enhancements. Additionally, provide support for managing user licenses and audits and actively participate in the IT support for the ERP and other applications as required.

Working within a community of disciplines (e.g. IT Operations, IT Enterprise Applications, the Project Management Office, various Champion business units, and diverse consultants), the Application & Data Administrator must be an excellent communicator, Team Player, and be able to align with end users on current processes to ensure a standard is maintained and opportunities for growth and improvements are identified. The Application & Data Administrator will be the principal resource in managing the setup, administration, integrations, QA, testing, and sign off on applications and features.

Reporting to the Solutions Architect, this position is located in the Champion Edmonton corporate office on a hybrid schedule and requires some travel to other Champion locations.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Administer user setup, feature upgrades, and deployments of applications of varied scale and complexity.

  • Administer key data within ERP and other applications.

  • Perform user license audits and reviews on a regular basis.

  • Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents.

  • Review, analyse, and define process improvement opportunities and execute them into production.

  • Gather business requirements and work with stakeholders to discover and define solutions.

  • Safeguard the data integrity of the Enterprise applications environment by participating in data compliance activities.

  • Develop excellent working relationships with Champion business units, Infor and a variety of consultants.

  • Maintain and expand a knowledge of Infor’s product suite and its future directions.

  • Troubleshoot & support application problems, ensure the appropriate resources are engaged in resolution, and follow-up on incidents.

  • Provide guidance to management on the strategic and tactical use of applications for today and the future.

  • Write and maintain documents related to design, implementation, and operating practices.

  • Perform other duties as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 1-3 years experience in a relevant field.

  • Experience performing application setup, administration, and varied data entry activities.

  • Experience working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planners).

  • Strong analytical abilities, with ability to identify problems, determine options, implement solutions, often within a time sensitive framework.

  • Good planning skills, including ability to organize, prioritize, and execute within a time sensitive framework.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to clearly communicate ideas and proposals and to discuss technical issues with non-technical clients.

  • Experience working with API / Data Import tools considered an asset.

  • Experience in MS Power Platform (Power Apps), MS SQL, MS Power BI considered an asset.

  • Experience using project methodologies (both waterfall and agile) through the entire software development lifecycle.

  • Knowledge & experience supporting an assortment of enterprise on-premises and cloud-based platforms considered an asset.

  • Experience with the Infor suite of products (e.g., M3, MEC (M3-E-collaborator) XM, d/EPM, Stream Serve, Infor OS) considered an asset.

  • Supply Chain and/or Warehouse experience is an asset.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  • Ability to develop and maintain successful professional working relationships with internal departments, key managers, and other stakeholders to further corporate business goals.

  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License (other than motorcycle), with ability to travel between the Company’s locations and willingness to accept temporary assignment(s) to additional Company locations.

  • Ability to be accessible (via company cell phone) to corporate employee end-users needing after-hours emergency IT support on a rotating on call basis.

  • Other duties as required.
