Here’s the scoop - Summary

The IT Business Systems Analyst has primary responsibility for the ongoing reliable, efficient and effective operation & enhancement of Champion’s Enterprise Applications. The IT Business Systems Analyst is a technical figure in the development of solutions to ERP-related and other application and business problems using a variety of technologies to solve the business need. Additionally, provide support for the ERP and other applications as required. Ensuring integrations and data integrity are paramount when designing and implementing or updating applications, configurations and enhancements.

Working within a community of disciplines (e.g. IT Operations, IT Enterprise Applications, the Project Management Office, various Champion business units, and diverse consultants), the IT Business Systems Analyst must be an excellent communicator and be able to synthesize many views of problems into cohesive solutions. The IT Business Systems Analyst will be the principal resource in managing the full lifecycle of development projects, including requirements gathering, customer & vendor relationships, technical development, status reporting, implementation, quality assurance and testing.

This position is located in Edmonton, AB and works a hybrid schedule between in office and working from a home-based office. This role also requires occasional travel to other Champion locations.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Troubleshoot & support application problems, ensure the appropriate resources are engaged in resolution, and follow-up on incidents

  • Define and implement technical solutions involving the ERP platform & other applications, including the integration with other applications (on premise or cloud-based).

  • Gather business requirements and work with stakeholders to discover and define solutions.

  • Perform technical development using a variety of technologies

  • Administer applications used by Champion Business units.

  • Safeguard the data integrity of the Enterprise applications environment by managing the development, testing, and implementation of solutions.

  • Develop excellent working relationships with Champion business units, Infor and a variety of consultants.

  • Maintain and expand a knowledge of Infor’s product suite and its future directions.

  • Write SQL queries, procedures, views etc. to support various data strategies

  • Report creation using SSRS, Power BI, Excel as require

  • Provide guidance to management on the strategic and tactical use of applications for today and the future.

  • Write and maintain documents related to design, implementation, and operating practices.

  • Perform other duties as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a relevant field.

  • Experience with the Infor suite of products (M3 on-prem, MEC (M3-E-collaborator), Streamserve, and ION) considered an asset

  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Marketing Cloud considered an asset

  • Experience in software development using a variety of programming languages (.NET, Python, JavaScript – specifically Java, ReactJS, and SQL)

  • Experience using software methodologies (both waterfall and agile) through the entire software lifecycle.

  • Experience in SSRS (SQL Server reporting Services)

  • Experience in development with the Microsoft Power Platform

  • Strong analytical abilities, with ability to identify problems and determine, implement solutions, often within a time sensitive framework.

  • Good planning skills, including ability to organize, prioritize, and execute within a time sensitive framework.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to clearly communicate ideas and proposals and to discuss technical issues with non-technical clients.

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus and integration methodologies supporting an assortment of enterprise on-premise and cloud-based platforms considered an asset

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  • Ability to develop and maintain successful professional working relationships with internal departments, key managers, and other stakeholders to further corporate business goals.

  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License (other than motorcycle), with ability to travel between the Company’s locations and willingness to accept temporary assignment(s) to additional Company locations.

  • Ability to work extended business hours and days and to be accessible (via company cell phone) to corporate employee end-users needing after-hours IT support.
