The successful summer students term will commence January 1, 2025 thru August 29, 2025.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Provides engineering design and analysis of EHT (Electrical Heat Trace) Systems within assigned project scope of work. This includes conceptual studies, layouts, specification development, and engineering drawings.
Build Construction Work Packages (CWP’s) and Quality Work Packages, complete with all applicable content such as Bill Of Materials (BOM’s), Test sheets, Engineered Drawings.
Analyze project progress and, work with project manager to adjust scope, timelines and cost
Prepare requisitions as the need arises for the project teams
Preparing material documentation for customers including EHT controllers, data specifications, and any necessary customer documents as per project specifications
Analyze and communicate with the supply and procurement team priorities, expediting and shipping within the project
Expedite any materials within supply chain and develop schedules
Ensure documentation is maintained through the project duration
Change order support including development, quantity tracking and collection, and document preparation.
YOU HAVE:
Obtaining a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree; from an accredited post-secondary institution
Knowledge of the engineering, maintenance and/or operations experience at a petrochemical facility or industrial site. Previous EHT experience is a plus
Ability to adapt to multiple projects and priorities
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize priorities based on deadlines
Good Microsoft Office, other Database experience can be a plus
Willingness to learn how to retrieve and work with data
Possess solid time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
