ASRC Federal Holding Company Instrumentation Engineer (supporting Air Force Research Lab) in Edwards AFB, California

ASRC Federal Space & Defense (AS&D) is seeking a Instrumentation Engineer at the Air Force Research Lab, Edwards AFB, CA.

Requirements

  • Ensures there is a comprehensive training plan for Instrumentation Data Systems for all areas.

  • Design, implement, recommend, maintain, and improve components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

  • Direct and coordinate specific tasks on construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.

  • May provide work leadership and training to lower level professional and technical staff.

This position is offering a pay range of $149,500 - $252,000 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Requirements :

  • Experience training personnel in Instrumentation controls and theory.

  • Control Systems Theory, Application and Operator Interfacing (Real-Time Discrete Data and Closed-Loop Dynamic Control Systems; Frequency Domain Analysis and Modeling, Performance and Stability Analysis; Electro/Pneumatic Positioning and Thrust Vector Controls.

  • Embedded Real-Time Industrial Controller and HMI Interface development (multi-site, individual (Not Networked around sites) Server-based Allen-Bradley Facility Control Program development.

  • Basic Computer Programing skills (Visual Basic VB6, VB.NET, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, Ladder Logic

  • Understanding of Basic Power Systems. Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes, Back-up Power Systems, Power Grounding and Shielding.

  • High-Power Cryogenic Pump/Vaporization systems.

  • Some Lightening Protection systems.

  • Education/Experience/Clearance requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree and ten to twelve years of related experience.

  • Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
