A3 Technology, Inc. is actively searching for a highly experienced senior level Engineer to become an integral part of our dynamic team based in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead software/adaptation analysis, design/development, testing and seamless system integration for our prestigious Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program. Your expertise will encompass a wide array of functional areas, including real-time design, development, testing and interfacing of software and computer hardware systems. We seek someone with a proven track record of comprehensive software development skills and hands-on experience with programming languages specifically tailored for National Airspace Systems (NAS) and NAS support systems.Essential Job Functions:Work specifically with the TFDM Software Development Team using C/C++, Java, XML, Javascript, shell scripting, database concepts (Postgres and/or Oracle), GIS Tools, Red Hat Linux, Ada, Redmine, Git and various homegrown tools. TFDM Lab assignments and Data Collection is essential.Perform Data collection, Software Installations and Workstation Backups.Perform adaptation/software analysis and implement code fixes, adaptation changes and new functionality.Perform peer/code reviews.Ability to work individually and within a group/team.Ability to take direction and initiative; ability to provide direction and training.Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.Limited (25% or less) travel to locations throughout the US.Desk/lab located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required:Technical Adapter/Software Developer with knowledge in C/C++, Java, XML, Shell Scripting, Java Script, Database Concepts and UNIX/LINUX. Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.Excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.Preferred:Technical Adapter/Software Developer with the required knowledge plus Ada, Perl Scripting, Python, Geographic Information System (GIS) Tools and Red Hat Linux.In addition, experience in TFDM/STARS/NAS, Test, Redmine (or another project management tool), Git (or another configuration management tool) and Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel).Technical Adapter/Software Developer with the required and preferred knowledge plus experience in HTML/XHTML, QT, JSON and SQL is a bonus.Education:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with 25 years of related work experience in the specific engineering principle ORMaster's degree in Engineering with 20 years related work experience in the specific engineering principle ORPHD or Doctoral with 12 years' work experience in the specific engineering principle.Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance.
