Job Title: Facilities Lead Technician
Job Description
The Facilities Lead is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of all building services as well as various systems within the facilities. This role includes acting as a team lead for the Facilities and Waste-stream workforce, ensuring all site safety protocols are followed and maintaining workstations according to housekeeping expectations.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service.
Operate personal lifts and material handling tools.
Rigging, lifting, and relocating a variety of complex, heavy machines, equipment, and components.
Perform piping and plumbing tasks, including working with pumps and motors.
Install new capital equipment.
Carry out Preventative Maintenance as assigned.
Read and understand mechanical and electrical prints, diagrams, and technical repair manuals.
Perform basic building repairs including plumbing (toilets, sinks), carpentry work (installation of cabinets, pictures), sheetrock, and small concrete repairs.
Conduct light electrical repairs and wiring of outlets, switches.
Handle painting tasks.
Change filters on all HVAC equipment.
Assemble, disassemble, and move office furniture.
Remove snow from sidewalks and specific areas.
Maintain and repair grounds as needed.
Support any afterhours building needs and activities.
Enter work orders and PMs into CMMS.
Perform assigned duties with little or no supervision.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a mechanical/plumbing/electrical role.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance; HVAC experience preferred.
General understanding of mechanics and maintenance knowledge.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize to meet deadlines.
Basic reading and math skills.
Working knowledge of MS Excel & Word.
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to exercise independent initiative/judgment in work methods.
Leadership skills with the ability to gain respect from a team and communicate with clarity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with plumbing, toilets, and sinks.
Experience with painting, carpentry, drywall, and concrete repair.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment, and the employee is regularly exposed to loud noises and machinery. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment including, but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 1st Shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
