Pacific Air Forces Marketing Assistant in Eielson AFB, Alaska

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Marketing Team. This position will require a flexible schedule. This position will support FSS events after hours/weekends as needed. APPLICATIONS WILL BE PULLED THURSDAYS AT 8:00AM. Responsibilities Assists in developing and implementing marketing programs for the Services Squadron. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation and increase financial income to Services activities. Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Administers surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists in analyzing results. Stays informed of consumer trends and their application to the activities. Makes recommendations on program modifications and enhancements. Assists in conducting advertising campaigns. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs and offers for activity managers. Assists in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. Assists in planning marketing campaigns designed to enhance participation in Services activities by considering the characteristics of the target audience and the media mix necessary to reach them. Provides or arranges for photographic support for Services functions. Performs other related duties as assigned. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience which provides a general knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform research, select, arrange and compose material and maintain well-organized files. In addition, must have specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using desktop publishing software, word processing and other software. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be at least 18 years of age. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
