Philips NL Corporate Income Tax and Tax accounting – Senior Manager in Eindhoven, Netherlands

This position allows you to combine your understanding of Dutch Corporate Income Tax (“CIT”) regulations, tax compliance and IFRS/tax accounting knowledge.

Your role:

  • Preparation of the Dutch CIT returns for all Dutch Philips legal entities,

  • Preparing and documenting tax positions to strengthen compliance, documentation and reporting processes for internal processes, audit purposes and contemporaneous discussions with the Dutch tax authorities,

  • Correct reflection of Dutch tax accounting positions in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process, including close cooperation on the positions with the central tax accounting team to ensure financial integrity and transparency of the Philips Group IFRS consolidated tax position and related reporting processes,

  • Performing periodical Dutch Tax forecasting process and provide Tax (P&L and Cash) guidance for mid to long term,

  • Participating in the regular meetings with the Dutch CIT team and central tax accounting team,

  • Contributing to the Group tax team goals.

You are a part of

You will be part of the Group Tax team located in the Netherlands, consisting of approximately 20 tax colleagues that cover the full spectrum of direct tax, indirect tax and tax accounting and reporting. You will join the Dutch team that is responsible for the overall CIT position of Philips in the Netherlands, and report to the Head of Tax Benelux. You will also work closely together and support the central tax accounting team in the Netherlands.

You're the right fit if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in tax /accounting / finance / economics,

  • Approximately 5 years’ relevant experience stretching the Dutch CIT and tax accounting/IFRS domain in an in-house or Big 4 role,

  • Dutch native speaker, as the focus in on Dutch rules and regulations, and fluent in English (both verbally and in writing) which is the internal reporting language,

  • Team player within and across departments,

  • Affinity with complex financial administrations, (tax) accounting and IT-systems (i.e. Hyperion) is and advantge.
