Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay rate: $25.00-27.00p/h

What’s a typical day as a Senior Account Payable Specialist? You’ll be:

• Entering invoices in Accounting Software to appropriate general ledger account for payment.

• Reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

• Monitoring accounts payable aging to ensure payments are up to date.

• Processing 3-way P.O. matching invoices.

• Prioritizing invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.

• Auditing and processing credit card bills, employees’ expense reports.

• Matching invoices to checks and distributing checks accordingly.

• Maintaining 1099 records.

• Reconciling vendor statements, researching and correcting discrepancies.

• Assisting in month-end closing.

• Providing supporting documents for audits.

• Assisting with other projects as needed.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have 3-4 years of Accounts Payable experience.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field of studies.

• Proficient in Excel and Word, with 10-key by touch skills.

• Have QuickBooks experience (a plus).

• Possess thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures.
