Aerotek Electrical Maintenance Technician in Elgin, Illinois

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to conduct mechanical and electrical repairs on high-speed corrugating machinery, including printing presses, die cutting, flexogluing, and packaging equipment (Gopfert or Evolve printing). Responsibilities also include performing preventative maintenance tasks such as oiling, lubricating, and greasing machine parts. You will read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to assist with troubleshooting and will use various hand and power tools, including volt meters and electrical testing tools, to complete repairs. Additionally, you will be responsible for general building maintenance.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Elgin, Illinois.

Work Environment

This position offers 3 openings on the second shift, running from 2:00pm to 10:30pm with potential overtime and occasional Saturday work. The work environment is a very clean and organized facility with plenty of open space, although it is not temperature controlled. As the team expands, the requirement for overtime will increase, initially less frequent.
