Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift (12:45 pm - 9:15 pm)\ \ Open position to replace upcoming retirement. We are currently looking for a full-time 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to support our Elgin plant.\ \ We have been driving innovation since 1976. Proficient with PLC\'s, Drives and Schematics is a must (for 1st shift position).
Initiates purchase orders for parts and supplies.
Records all maintenance performed for each machine in written English in the maintenance log.
Maintains and assembles spare parts inventory.
Trouble shoots all equipment mechanical and electrical.
Diagnoses and replaces faulty/mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
Measures, cuts, threads, air, water and gas piping.
Installs new auxiliary equipment on all production machines.
Cuts, welds and fabricates structural equipment.
Diagnoses equipment failure to determine the root cause.
Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder and other metal working tools to make repair parts.
Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.
Pulls wiring through conduits.
