Robert Half Supply Chain Planner in Elizabeth, New Jersey

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous and focused Supply Chain Planner in our Wholesale Distribution industry, situated in Elizabeth, New Jersey. As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be a supply chain expert for specific categories/items, ensuring optimal inventory levels, efficient fulfillment, and effective cost management. Your role will include analyzing end-to-end supply chain processes, developing cross-functional partnerships, and leveraging analytics to influence decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and respond to system-recommended order exceptions

• Closely monitor purchase orders, ensuring a smooth lifecycle and proactively resolving any arising issues

• Identify potential issues within the lead-time window and develop proactive action plans to mitigate any negative impact on the customer

• Evaluate in-season and holiday flow to meet customer demand while ensuring optimal return on investment

• Utilize system-generated forecasts to enhance market speed and frequency

• Establish, maintain, and negotiate supplier constraints

• Monitor and report performance based on established KPIs such as service level, inventory turnover, sales, and gross margin

• Supervise a group of VMI/co-manage suppliers and lead cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances

• Develop demand plans at various levels of aggregation and time horizons by analyzing historical sales trends

• Collaborate with merchants, marketing, and suppliers to ensure current and accurate information is used for demand forecasting

• Analyze transportation modes and recommend alternative methods to reduce cost to serve

• Lead supplier collaboration meetings to optimize end-to-end supply chain

• Consolidate daily and weekly reporting for team and peers as assigned. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Supply Chain Planner role or similar within the Wholesale Distribution industry.

• Proficiency in KPI Reporting, able to monitor and report on key performance indicators related to supply chain operations.

• Strong understanding and practical experience with Logistics, able to efficiently manage the movement and storage of goods.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain Logistics, able to plan and manage the flow of products effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, able to use advanced functions for data analysis and reporting.

• Experience in Inventory Analysis, able to evaluate stock levels and identify trends or issues.

• Proficient in Inventory Forecasting, able to predict future inventory needs based on sales trends and other factors.
