Job Title: Leasing Consultant
Job Description
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for showing and leasing apartments to prospective residents. This role includes discussing the size and layout of rooms, available facilities, and occupancy terms. You will interview prospective residents to ascertain their needs and follow established policies and procedures in the qualification, screening, and acceptance of applicants for residency. You will also inform prospective residents about nearby schools, shopping malls, recreational facilities, and public transportation.
Responsibilities
Respond to site visits, emails, or telephone inquiries regarding available apartments.
Demonstrate effective leasing skills and the ability to convert prospects into residents.
Maintain high closing ratios and turn phone traffic into walk-in traffic.
Complete guest cards, thank you notes, and appropriate follow-up.
Maintain a professional, well-organized, and positive demeanor when dealing with residents, prospects, and coworkers.
Ensure that the property is kept in excellent condition.
Essential Skills
1-3 years of administrative experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
Experience in leasing administration, customer service, leasing, property management, data entry, real estate, office support, customer care, residential property administration, and leasing administration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a commitment to achieving satisfaction for both internal and external customers.
Effective communication skills with tact and diplomacy.
Active and attentive listening skills.
Work Environment
This position operates in a typical business office environment with moderate noise levels from computers, printers, and copiers. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. The location is conveniently situated in Maryland on the Delaware border, close to I-95.
