Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector (NGDS) is currently seeking a level 1 Security Manager to join our team in Elkton, MD

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment

  • Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations

  • Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies

  • Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials

  • Conducts security education classes and security audits

  • Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken

  • Lead Northrop Grumman, Elkton Site Security Team supporting customer success and compliance

  • Plant Protection Coordination between guard service company and site security

  • AA&E and Explosive oversight

  • Working with site management for growth needs (construction, PERSEC, COMSEC, Facility needs, etc.)

  • Shares duty with Facility Security Officer to manage Physical Security Conditions of Entry/access controls. Manage and leads Plant Protection operations, manages Emergency Response, manages Incident Command for Fire, Medical response on an energetic facility in compliance with emergency actions plans.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 6 years of related security experience with a, related direct experience can be substituted for education

  • Experience with Special Access Programs serving as CPSO

  • Experience with ICD705 Space Construction & Accreditations

  • Experience as Acting FSO/AFSO

  • FSO Certified

  • SAP/DOD Certifications and Industrial Security expertise preferred

  • Active DoD SECRET Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret

  • Experience working on energetic manufacturing facility

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TOP SECRET Clearance

  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal oversight

  • Experience writing basis of estimates and managing budgets

  • Physical Security experience, Plant Protection operations experience

  • Experience with COMSEC management

  • Expertise with ICD 705 construction and accreditation processes, ICD 705 Certified

  • Expertise of VIPER phones and DSWAN operation.

  • Experience providing Emergency Services in Industrial, Secure Environment

Salary Range: $102,400 - $153,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
