All members of the Student Health team create an environment of learning and growth, helping students develop the skills to care for themselves as whole people throughout their lives. In support of these values, this position independently coordinates and manages general office operations for Student Health Services located in the Student Medical Building. Provides supervision to Patient Service Representatives and Patient Financial Specialists. Provides administrative support to the Student Health Services Director and coordinates/initiates building and clinic environmental, IT and structural maintenance. Frequently deals with Protected Health Information (PHI) and is well versed in the laws and guidelines pertaining to PHI. Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy in dealing with students, faculty, staff, and external entities. Job Duties Budgetary/Financial Responsibilities: - Participates in establishing short and long-term fiscal plans and projections. - Administers purchases on behalf of the Student Health Services Director when needed. - Completes requisitioning for purchases including tracking and initiating annual purchase requisitions for medical and office equipment. - Orders and maintains office, furniture, and paper supplies. Verifies annual inventory sheets and obtains appropriate signatures. - Maintaining primary responsibility for the optimization of the electronic medical record (EMR) system - Assures compliance with fiscal policies and procedures issued by various authorities and their offices who are responsible for university-wide fiscal support functions. - Maintains medical billing system in compliance with in
