B&K Custom Manure Hauling, LLC Truck Driver/Ag. Equip. Operator in Elmore, Minnesota

Need 24 full time, temporary, seasonal Truck Drivers/Ag. Equipment Operators to work at locations in Faribault Co., MN and Winnebago Co., IA. From: 08/01/2024 to 02/28/2025 Work: 44 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day, Sat. 4 hrs./day. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. HOURLY WAGE OFFER: MN: $27.59 IA: $25.00 In Minnesota only: OVERTIME: Hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. ESST Law: Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. MUST APPLY BY: 11/15/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: We need seasonal help to haul and spread chicken manure on fields. Employees will need to operate/run/maneuver/control trucks and large tractors to haul and apply chicken manure as fertilizer to fields. Employees will perform various duties associated with applying fertilizers to fields, including the loading and unloading of chicken manure. Operate and monitor pumps. When application is complete, the workers will pick up equipment, clean-up work site, and prepare to move equipment to next location. Employees will perform routine maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for longevity and experience. Work is to be done for long periods of time in the field, when plants may be wet with dew and rain, and may be required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, insect spray, related chemicals, etc. may affect workers ability to perform the job. Workers must be able to perform the required work with or without reasonable accommodations. Must wear assigned personal protective equipment when required. Must report for work daily wearing appropriate work clothing and boots or other durable footwear. Casual clothing not permitted. Workers wearing inappropriate clothing will not be permitted to start work. Workers will have an unpaid lunch break when working more than 5 hours. Must report to work at the designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedules may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any changes to start/end time. Employer may request, but not require that workers work more than the stated daily hours, on the worker's Sabbath, or on federal holidays. Workers may not report for work under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Possession or use of illegal drugs or alcohol on company worksites or vehicles is prohibited and ill cause for immediate termination. Out of concern for the safety of our workers, staff or the public at large, the employer reserves the right to terminate for cause, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, any worker found during the period of employment to have a criminal conviction record or status as a registered sex offender. The work described herein is regular, seasonal full-time work requiring all workers to be available as stated on the standard work schedule, throughout the entire contract period. Employees may experience a temporary work reduction in work and/or a temporary work stoppage due to the natural agricultural cycle. All workers are subject to a five-day trial period, during which their performance will be evaluated. Employer reserves the right to terminate a worker at the end of the trial period if their performance fails to satisfy the employer's reasonable expectations or is otherwise unacceptable. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience. Able to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs. Class A CDL or equivalent. Able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free hous ng for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
